Korelasi antara lingkar perut, tekanan darah, gula darah puasa, trigliserida, dan high density lipid dengan resistensi insulin pada penderita obesitas abdominal

Abstract

Obesity is a risk factor for the occurrence of diabetes mellitus (DM) type 2, where is insulin resistance, decreased insulin secretion and hyperglycemia. This study aims to determine the relationship between abdominal circumference, blood pressure, fasting blood sugar, high-density lipid (HDL) and triglycerides with insulin resistance. This study design was cross-sectional study. The samples are 80 patients with abdominal obesity. The statistical analysis used bivariate correlation analysis with Spearman's test followed by multivariate linear regression analysis. Characteristics of samples are 26 male (32.5%) and 54 women (67.5%) with status of insulin resistance were normal insulin resistant 64 (80%), moderate insulin resistant 9 (11.2%), and severe insulin resistance 7 (8.8%). Based on test results obtained statistically significant relationship between abdominal circumference, blood pressure, fasting blood sugar, HDL and triglycerides with insulin resistance (p <0.05) and only triglyceride levels independently correlated with insulin resistance (r = 0.008, p <0,05).
