Apakah Telemedicine dapat sebagai jalan keluar penanganan pasien Neurologi pada masa COVID-19 ?

Abstract

Telemedicine adalah layanan kesehatan yang dilakukan dari jarak jauh. Telemedicine dapat di gunakan pada pandemi COVID-19, ini merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengurangi penyebaran dari virus ini dengan menggunakan telemedicine kita dapat melakukan hubungan dengan kontak jarak jauh dengan pasien guna mencegah penularan. Di Indonesia sendiri program telemedicine sangat penting bagi masyarakat yang berada di daerah tertinggal dan perbatasan. Perkiraan biaya untuk mendukung program telemedicine di Indonesia cukup besar. Dengan telemedicine kita dapat mengevaluasi pasien dari rumah mereka sendiri, serta dapat menghemat waktu serta jarak tempuh di kedua pihak, mempermudah komunikasi dengan dan akses ke fasilitas kesehatan. Kunjungan virtual diintegrasikan ke dalam EMR, memungkinkan setiap pasien untuk hanya memiliki satu rekam medis dengan aplikasi yang saling terhubung komputer desktop, mobile phone dan laptop. Dokter membutuhkan pemeriksaan telemedicine yang sensitif, spesifik dan cocok untuk berbagai kondisi yang dapat cepat dievaluasi dan dikelola datanya. Tidak semua pemeriksaan neurologi dapat di lakukan dengan menggunakan telemedicine, hanya dua dari lima indera yang didukung dengan teknologi saat ini, penglihatan dan suara dapat menghasilkan banyak informasi yang berguna secara klinis. Dengan menggunakan telemedicine diharapkan hambatan berupa jarak yang jauh, terbatasnya waktu pertemuan antara dokter dan pasien dapat diatasi.
